Baugerüst (scaffolding), 2023
The work Baugerüst (scaffolding) deals with a commercial scaffolding, which is 65 meters long and 6 meters high and stands free in the outdoor space in the course of the Festival of the Regions 2023. Decoupled from the building structure, it exists on its own, becoming an unstable construction and tilting at one end until it lies flat on the ground. The scaffolding has lost its function and seems to have partially toppled over; the rotational movement of falling down can just as well be seen as a straightening up. Collapsing, sinking down, bending and gravitational bowing are juxtaposed with the impression of rearing up.
